The Florine Cardigan is worked seamlessly from top to bottom. It begins at the neck, where a band is worked in a floral lace pattern. Stitches are then picked up from this band for the body. Next, only the back, sleeves, and raglan are worked in a large rib pattern. Once the underarms are reached, the body is joined together and stitches are picked up from the front raglan for the front. Further lace patterns grow from the front stitches to the hem, where the lace pattern is then worked across the entire body.
Due to the special shaping of the raglan, the front is shorter than the back and has a beautiful curve.
The intended fit is with approximately 5-10 cm / 2-4” of positive ease around the bust. The sample shown is size B, designed for a 85 cm / 33.5” bust circumference.
