The Dana Shawl is worked sideways from one corner to the wide edge, with an increase worked on one side every other row. The shawl begins with a leaf lace pattern framed by small cables. The garter stitch base pattern is interspersed with crossed stitches.
At the end, the garter stitch edge is pulled up at the side and knitted in place as you go, so that the shawl has a beautiful border around the shawl
