The hand turned spindles were created in the beautiful Oberaargau. The Tibetan spindle is spun in a bowl, which makes it mostly suitable for thin threads and for short staple fibres, such as cashmere, camel or cotton. The somewhat roughened surface and the good weight distribution make spinning a productive experience.
