Eri silk is a wild silk where the butterfly is allowed to hatch before it is processed.

It shimmers rust red or vanilla yellow, comes from Assam India and belongs to the warm silk types. It has a natural colour, spun that way by the silkworm. It has not been dyed or bleached.
