These beautiful hand made spindles were created in the Oberaargau in Switzerland. Due to the light weight, the spindle is mostly suitable for thin threads and can therefore be used for cross-stapled fibres like cotton. The slightly roughened surface and the good weight distribution make spinning a productive experience.

The Akha spindle is a traditional cotton spindle from the regions around Thailand.
