These beautiful hand made spindles were created in the Oberaargau in Switzerland. Due to the light weight, the spindle is mostly suitable for thin threads and can therefore also be used for cross-stapled fibres. The slightly roughened surface and the good weight distribution make spinning a productive experience.

The cross spindle has a fascinating construction. The whorl can be disassembled so that a ball can be wound while spinning and the tiresome unwinding and rewinding for plying or further processing is no longer necessary.
