Red Panda Socks Pattern

The Red Panda Socks are mostly worked seamlessly in the round, cuff-down, with a two-color motif around the leg. It starts with the main color and simple 1×1 ribbing, followed by the colorwork section, which is worked in two contrasting colors before easing back into the main color. The heel will be worked with some german short rows. It is intended to be worn with approx. 2.5 cm (1”) negative ease around the ball of the foot. Sample shown in size 2 on a 20 cm (7.75”) foot circumference

These instructions are written for the Magic Loop technique. However, it is also possible to work with double pointed needles. In this case, the stitches are distributed across 4 double-pointed needles, with a 5th needle for working the stitches. Needle 1 in the pattern will reference double points 1 and 2 combined, and needle 2 in the pattern will reference double points 3 and 4 combined.
